FC Internazionale Milano increased their record winning run to 15 games to retain an eleven-point advantage over AS Roma at the top of Serie A as the league programme in Italy resumed following the suspension of all football in the country last week.

SOUTH AMERICAN DOUBLE
Inter moved on to 60 points as goals from Adriano and Hernán Crespo earned Roberto Mancini's side a 2-0 victory at AC Chievo Verona in one of four matches played behind closed doors. Brazil striker Adriano opened the scoring in the first minute at the Marc'Antonio Bentegodi stadium before his Argentinian strike partner doubled the lead six minutes after the break.

COMFORTABLE WIN
Roma continue to wait for a slip-up from the leaders following a comfortable 3-0 home victory against relegation-threatened Parma FC. Second-half goals from Francesco Totti (50), Simone Perrotta (66) and Taddei (90) continued the capital club's unbeaten run in 2007. There was no such pleasure for third-placed US Città di Palermo, who were beaten by Empoli FC as Almiron's 47th-minute winner moved the visitors into fourth, ten points behind their opponents.

Elsewhere, Ronaldo made his debut for AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza as his new team won 2-1 against AS Livorno Calcio - Marek Jankulovski's long-range strike on 68 minutes sending them to sixth in the standings. Milan are just one point adrift of S.S. Lazio, who could only draw 0-0 at Atalanta BC.

REGGINA BOOST
At the bottom, Reggina Calcio picked up three important points with a 2-1 win at Torino FC to move up to 16th, but bottom side Ascoli Calcio 1898 lost 2-0 at UC Sampdoria. ACF Fiorentina were 2-0 winners against Udinese Calcio, while the games between Cagliari Calcio and AC Siena (2-2) and FC Messina Peloro and Calcio Catania (1-1) ended in draws.
